Community organisations are encouraged to apply for funding from the $150,000 Coastcare Victoria Community Grants Program, which supports the conservation, restoration and rehabilitation of coastal and marine environments along Victoria's 2000km of coastline.
Community groups in the Barwon South West, Port Phillip and Gippsland regions can apply for up to $7500 to undertake projects that help protect and enhance the coastal and near-shore marine environment.
Applications open today and close 17 April 2016. Projects that will be completed by 31 December 2017 are eligible for funding.
